Former Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah scored his first German Bundesliga goal of the season for FSV Mainz 05 in Sunday’s 1-0 home win over VFB Stuttgart at the OPEL Arena, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ujah netted in the 76th minute to hand his side their first win of the season after joining the fray as a substitute for Jean Philippe Mateta ten minutes earlier.
It was Ujah’s first Bundesliga goal since May 2016. The 27 year old Nigeria international has now also scored six times in seven appearances against VfB, more than against any other side.
In the Scottish topflight, division, Ovie Ejaria scored his first league goal for Rangers who played out an enthralling 3-3 draw with Motherwell.
Ejiara’s Rangers trailed twice during the game thanks to goals from Danny Johnson and Carl McHugh but a double from Kyle Lafferty – a volley and a header – brought the visitors level.
The 19 year old Nigerian put Rangers 3-2 ahead at the end of a stunning counter attack before Peter Hartley’s 94th-minute goal for Motherwell denied Rangers maximum points.

Awoniyi has made six league appearances for Gent since joining the club in the summer from Liverpool.
