‘Wetin dey happen for here’ – Wizkid reacts to Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose’s Bitter Ordeal
The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose reportedly escaped death in the hands of security operatives who allegedly fired teargas at him.
The security operatives had blocked the government house, in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state, a development which created tension among residents of the area who scuttled to safety.
While speaking with Channels Television after the attack, the governor said that he was in pains after he was slapped, shot at and manhandled by security agents.
Fayose who then broke into tears lamenting said, “I am in pain, I am in severe pain. I can’t turn this neck anymore. If anything happens to me, the Inspector-General of Police should be held accountable,” the governor told reporters while crying at the rally.”
The tears came minutes after he addressed a crowd of PDP supporters, appearing in bandages on his right arm and a neck brace.
He had said; “I call on the international community, Ekiti is under siege. How can I be Governor of Ekiti State and be treated like this in my own country? My people, I call on all of you, stand and remain standing.
“I will go back to the hospital for a while to rest. I am having a lot of pains, but I prefer to bear these pains because of you. I prefer to bear these pains because of you.”
Starboy Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid is not oblivious to the incidences going on around him, especially the drama which took place in Ekiti state yesterday at the PDP rally.
In a tweet, Starboy had asked with a puzzled expression, what was happening to the governor.
