‘My son is your son’ – Peter Okoye & Tonto Dikeh console Dbanj for the loss of his son but Nigerians blast them for being “insensitive”
Earlier today, Nigerian singer, D’banj made an appearance on Instagram, his first since his 13-month old son, Daniel died in an unfortunate drowning incident in their Ikoyi mansion.
He made a post thanking Nigerians for their show of sympathy and praying for his family as they continue to mourn their loss.
However, while consoling Dbanj on the death of his only son, singer Peter Okoye and actress Tonto Dikeh made similar statements which some people have found offensive and insensitive.
In a comment to Dbanj’s post thanking people for being there for him during this tragic time, Peter Okoye wrote: We love you bro… stay strong. My son is your son. Remain blessed.
Tonto Dikeh also left a similar comment, writing: We love you Banga, Be strengthened… My son is your son too. God bless you.
