#WorldCup2018: Marcos Rojo fires Argentina to the Knock out stage as Nigeria and Iceland crash out
The Group D decider between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Argentina ended in favour of the Argentines as they proceed to the Knock out stage at the expense of Nigeria.
Lionel Messi fires Argentina into the lead in the 14th minute but his team were unable to get a second in the first 45 minutes as the game ended 1 – 0 in the first half.
Victor Moses converted from the spot after Mascherano committed a foul against Leon Balogun in the 51st minute. Nigeria failed to convert from several chances before Marcos Rojo strike late in the game to fire Argentina to a 2 – 1 win.
Meanwhile in the other game between Iceland and Croatia, Croatia defeated Iceland 2 – 1 to move to 9 points at the top of the table. Milan Badelj opened the score chart from Croatia in the 53rd minute, Gylfi Sigurdsson equalised from the spot in the 76th minute before Ivan Persic late winner for Croatia in the 90th minute.

Croatia will be facing Denmark in the round of 16 while Argentina will go toe to toe with the French team.
