Otun Olubadan’s twins: Abductors reduce ransom to N10m
The family of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Lekan Balogun has shown confidence their set of twins will soon regain their freedom after their abductors reduced the ransom from N100m to N40m and now N10m.
The unknown abductors kidnapped the set of twins last week alongside their mother at the residence of the monarch at Akobo.
The abductors had earlier requested for a whooping amount of 100 million naira but later reduced to 40 million naira and now reduced to 10 million naira.
Even though their mother was dropped at Ojoo road in Ibadan, it was gathered that the abductors are communicating with the family of the chief with a sim card removed from her phone, and they have since been calling not only the monarch but also the family they think might help in meeting their ransom demand.
The happy father, who refused to say whether the ransom would be paid by him and where or who it will be paid to, confirmed the reduction of the ransom and expressed his hope that the twins will soon come back to them very soon.
“I’m very much optimistic that my children will join the rest members of the family very soon by the special grace of God and when they arrive, all of you will be in the know. I thank Nigerians, both at home and in diaspora for the massive support my family received so far and which we are still receiving.
“I’m also grateful to the state government and once again to the security agents for their efforts in ensuring the release of the kids just as I want to thank my tormentors in advance for the care given to the innocent children.
May anything called sorrow be far away from all of us. I will say more when the kids reunite with other family members.”
