EPL: Everton vs Manchester City: Team news, injuries, possible lineups
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will on Saturday night clash with Everton at Goodison Park in the English Premier League (EPL).
Guardiola is currently in 49 EPL wins from his 68 games in the competition. If he wins against Everton, he will be the second quickest manager to reach 50 wins in the Premier League, after manager, Jose Mourinho, who achieved the feat in just 63 games.
City, in their 41 Premier League meetings with Everton, have won 14 times while the Merseyside Blues have won 18 times.
Long-term absentee, Benjamin Mendy is back in training.
Striker, Sergio Aguero is carrying a knee injury and is doubtful to face Everton.
Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce’s Everton are the only team yet to be beaten by Man City in the league this season.
Allardyce’s men head into this tough fixture in very good form, having won their last two EPL games.
The Toffees have won six of their last nine home games against City in all competitions, drawing one and losing the other two, winning 4-0 last season under Ronald Koeman.
Defender, Ashley Williams is out due to suspension.
Gylfi Sigurdsson is set to miss at least a month due to his knee injury.
Idrissa Gueye is out with a leg injury. James McCarthy is out injured, while Mason Holgate is doubtful.
