EPL: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool: Team news, injuries, possible lineups
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will on Saturday afternoon clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the English Premier League (EPL).
The match will be Klopp’s 100th EPL game as a Liverpool manager.
Klopp’s men have won 53, drawn 28 and lost 18 games so far this season in the Premier League.
The Reds are currently third in the league table, with 63 points and just two points behind rivals, Manchester United.
Liverpool won the reverse fixture earlier this season with a score line of 1-0.
Klopp’s side have not been able to complete a league double over Palace since 1997/98.
Midfielder, Emre Can is having a back injury and is doubtful to start against Palace.
Centre-back, Dejan Lovern is having an ankle injury and unlikely to start the game.
Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace has won three of his last five EPL meetings against the Reds.
Hodgson’s men have played a game more than two of the four teams who are currently below them in the league table.
Palace are currently on 16th position in the league table with 31 points.
In previous 17 meetings between these two clubs in the EPL, Liverpool have won nine times compared to Palace’s five. Four of the Liverpool’s nine Premier League victories over Palace have come away from home.
Jason Puncheon, Scott Dann, and Bakary Sako are all unlikely to feature again this season.
Alexander Sorloth, Wilfred Zaha, Joel Ward, Jeffery Schlupp and goalkeeper, Julian Speroni complete the long list of injured players for Palace.
